One of the most misunderstood molecules in the body is #lactate (not lactic acid). Lactate is produced when we burn glucose for #energy outside of the #mitochondria. However, if a person has poor #mitochondrialhealth, they produce too much lactate and are unable to burn it as well—lactate is a fuel burned in the mitochondria.
