Using AAC software is a bit of a struggle for Clara since it's just too slow for her with her mobility problem on the right side. And even though she's all brave and tries to do the programming and handling herself, she's not really a fan of using it 😀 Learning ASL is pretty tough for her, despite her best efforts. But just because she doesn’t need them during the day to drive doesn’t mean we’d just take them away from her at night and say see how it goes!!! My mother in law had knee surgery and can walk, but if we’re going long distances she rents a scooter. My daughter is Autistic, and for her that comes with a language disorder.
