Tips for Growing Great Beets Part 1 Beets can be notoriously difficult to get consistent germination. I prefer to seeds two seeds per plug, or soil block, and thin down to the two healthiest plants. After a few weeks, I will transplant three rows per bed with 6-inch spacing in-row.
