The recent Alabama Frontier Days event at Fort Toulouse-Fort Jackson Park gave a look at early life in Alabama, including living history camps with soldiers depicting the French colonial period at Fort Toulouse and the War of 1812 period at Fort Jackson. Indigenous peoples lived in what would become Alabama long before French or American soldiers set foot on this land.
