The composite foundation method uses dynamic compaction, hole-punching, and gravel pile consolidation. A rocket hammer punches a hole, gravel is added, and the hammer compacts it, displacing and consolidating surrounding soft soil to form dense gravel piles. The pile tops are recompacted.
