As African countries, if we are to eliminate malaria by 2030, we cannot afford to continue importing 99% of our vaccines and 95% of our medicines. We must mobilise our own resources, strengthen data systems, and provide decisive, accountable leadership to eradicate malaria on the continent. President Duma Boko, who also serves as Chairperson of the African Leaders Malaria Alliance (ALMA), made these remarks during a High-Level Press Briefing on the progress of malaria elimination in Africa. #Adv
