The indie rock singer Ian Watkins, who was jailed for multiple child sex offences, has been killed in Wakefield prison. The 48-year-old former frontman of the Welsh band The Lostprophets was jailed in 2013 for 29 years for the sexual assault of young children and extreme pornography. Detectives working on his case said he was the most dangerous sex offender they had encountered.
