Donut-shaped planets, or toroidal planets, could theoretically exist under specific conditions where the forces shaping the planet allow for such an unusual geometry. These planets would require an extremely rapid rotation during their formation, generating immense centrifugal force that counteracts gravitational collapse into a sphere. Additionally, their internal structure would need to be highly stable, possibly with a dense core or unique material distribution to maintain the toroidal shape.
