You start asking yourself questions like, how much time do I have? What do you mean they’re losing their memory? What do you mean I’m losing them, but not really losing them? Those feelings come in waves. They are not surface level. They run deep. And that is part of my why. It is why I do the work that I do around dementia awareness and support.
