To add to the above--Short IMO summary: 1. Reasonably decent clean sound (on clean channel) 2. Drive channel is total cheese 3. For dirt, use clean channel and use a pedal/preamp/etc.

But I've never got round to that and I no longer use it often enough for it to matter. Incidentally, my DL112+ has been worked pretty hard in the past and it's never ever let me down.

Sep 24, 2010 · I've had an Ultra Chorus since 92 - twin 12, 65 watts, stereo chorus - it is a very good clean Fender amp. It also handles effects well, on occasion I put a BK Butler Tube Works pre-amp in front of it and the combination of the Ultra Chorus and the tube pre-amp gives me many different sounds from clean to brown to dirty, even at at low volumes.
Any thoughts on the Fender Princeton 65 solid state?
May 30, 2024 · I was looking for some good Fender cleans and this this has the right tone in spades. I have owned at least 6 different Fender Tube amps over the past few decades, and I am relieved to get the tones I need without the hassle of the valve amps, and at a very light weight. Pedals work just fine for me.
