A law enforcement officer was injured during an operation in Charlotte ’s University City area after a U.S. citizen allegedly attempted to use a vehicle against federal agents, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) said.

Governor Josh Stein of North Carolina addresses ICE actions, urging peaceful and lawful conduct among residents.

Federal agents will arrive as early as Saturday in the Charlotte area, according to the Mecklenburg County Sheriff’s Office.
