Micah Parsons and Aaron Rodgers may not have had overlapping tenures with the Green Bay Packers, but Parsons still credits Rodgers with boosting his confidence as a young player.

For the first time since becoming a member of the Green Bay Packers, edge defender Micah Parsons has won an NFC Defensive Player of the Week award. The deserved recognition comes after a monster three-sack performance in the Packers' 27-23 win over the Arizona Cardinals.

Jerry Jones and the Dallas Cowboys were much-maligned for their handling of the Micah Parsons fiasco this summer. The Cowboys were unwilling to pay top dollar for one of the game's most dynamic defensive players and ultimately traded him to the Green Bay Packers in exchange for Kenny Clark and two first-round picks.
