Louisiana State University 18-year-old freshman pole vaulter Dillon Reidenauer died this week in a vehicle collision that also killed the motorcyclist involved.

Dillon Reidenauer, 18, of Slidell, was killed Wednesday night in a crash at the intersection of Nicholson Drive and South Quad Drive.

Reidenauer, who was in her first year at LSU, was one of the top prep pole vaulters in the state of Louisiana at Fontainbleau High School. She finished second at the 2024 LHSAA State 5A Championships with a clearance of 3.64 meters. As a junior, she placed fourth at the state meet.
