Cedar Point renderings of Top Thrill 2. (Cedar Point) Riders will then see Cedar Point unlike ever before as they speed into a backward climb at a 90-degree angle on a new, 420-foot-tall track tower.

"Cedar Point’s legacy of roller coaster innovation continues with a one-of-a-kind addition to the park’s world-renowned ride lineup, coming in 2024," the park said back on Jan. 9.

Cedar Point to offer $20 hourly pay, signing bonus to boost staffing levels. In the meantime park will be closed most Tuesday and Wednedays in June.

Cedar Point's Top Thrill 2 roller coaster makes its way over the 420-foot-tall hill. The ride has been billed as the world’s "tallest and fastest triple-launch" strata-coaster.

Cedar Point said their Opening Weekend, which starts on Saturday, May 3, is also when riders can “drive to the sky” on the world’s tallest and fastest triple-launch roller coaster again.

Cedar Point first opened in 1870 as a public bathing beach along Lake Erie. The first rollercoaster, the Switchback Railway, came along about 20 years later and stood 25 feet tall at its highest peak.
