The Buffalo Bills made three roster moves ahead of their Sunday matchup with the Carolina Panthers, but the biggest one was activating rookie cornerback Maxwell Hairston from injured reserve. The team also elevated two veterans from its practice squad: safety Jordan Poyer and defensive tackle Jordan Phillips.

The Buffalo Bills activated rookie cornerback Maxwell Hairston off injured reserve on Saturday, a day before they play at the Carolina Panthers. Hairston is a first-round draft pick out of Kentucky, who has been sidelined since spraining his right knee a week into training camp in July.
With injuries stacking up on the defensive side of the ball, the Bills could soon get back their first-round rookie.
According to The Athletic's Dianna Russini, the Buffalo Bills are targeting at least two positions to make additions at ahead of the Nov. 4 trade deadline that is only a week-plus away.
