New York City mayoral candidates push their messages out one week before Election Day
Former New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo (D), who’s running as an independent for mayor of New York City, has cut Democratic nominee Zohran Mamdani’s lead in half, according to a poll released eight days before Election Day. In the latest Suffolk University poll, conducted over the past four days, Mamdani leads Cuomo by 10 points…
Assemblyman Zohran Mamdani remains the front-runner and former Gov. Andrew M. Cuomo is trying to catch him, while Curtis Sliwa refuses to be forced from the race. More than 200,000 ballots have already been cast.
NEW YORK (AP) — New York City Mayor Eric Adams will endorse Andrew Cuomo in the city’s mayoral election, a spokesperson said Thursday, throwing his weight behind a bitter rival he recently called a “snake and a liar” as the former governor tries to defeat Democratic nominee Zohran Mamdani.
Cuomo is campaigning in the Bronx Tuesday, while his super PACs are sending resources to the borough to get out the vote.
When Curtis Sliwa and Zohran Mamdani cast Andrew M. Cuomo as the candidate backed by billionaires, it was not merely campaign rhetoric. Mr. Cuomo is the candidate favored by super PACs, and those super PACs are heavily funded by billionaires.
Zohran Mamdani joins FOX 5 NY's political reporter Morgan McKay to discuss his policy proposals regarding affordability and education in New York City, as well as recent endorsements.
“I’d go half-and-half,” Cuomo said, trying to appeal to both sides. Laughter erupted inside the room as Mamdani and Curtis Sliwa, the republican nominee in the debate, both threw their hands up.
“Republican voters are not going to vote for Andrew Cuomo,” the city’s five GOP county chairs said in a joint statement, which included Manhattan GOP Chair Andrea Catsimatidis, John Catsimatidis’ daughter.
