It’s a big day for Nintendo fans. The gaming giant’s new console, the $450 Switch 2, arrives on store shelves globally after being announced in April — marking Nintendo’s first major console launch since the original Switch arrived roughly eight years ago.

The successor to one of Nintendo's most popular pieces of hardware is a refined, premium version of what lots of gamers already loved.

Nintendo Switch 2 achieves fastest-selling console status with 3.5+ million units sold in four days, breaking company records and surpassing original Switch launch.

In the announcement, the retailer said: “Argos is pleased to announce a limited restock of the Nintendo Switch 2 this Friday. From 8am on 13th June, customers can shop the newest evolution of the console online and in store and with Argos's same day click and collect service, they can have it up and running before the weekend.”

Nintendo Co. sold 3.5 million-plus units of the Switch 2 in just four days, a record-breaking start for the company’s first new console in eight years.
