All along, we've heard that three teams were at the top of Kevin Durant's list: the San Antonio Spurs, Houston Rockets and Miami Heat. All three made varying degrees of sense. There was not, at least initially, any separation within that group. They were listed together.
Rumors are circulating about the New York Knicks potentially acquiring Jaren Jackson Jr. The Knicks were knocked out by the Indiana Pacers in the Eastern Conference Finals.
The New York Knicks reportedly view their star center, Karl-Anthony Towns, and a Memphis Grizzlies star as a “dream pairing” they could pursue this offseason.
Of course the Knicks are interested in trading for Giannis Antetokounmpo. If he decides it’s time to move on from Milwaukee (a decision likely to come closer to the NBA draft), 29 other teams are going to call Bucks GM Jon Horst and kick the tires on a deal.
The regrouping Memphis Grizzlies are in an interesting position after being swept from the postseason. Ja Morant figuring out the Oklahoma City Thunder before getting undercut by Lu Dort provided a little comfort going into the summer break.
