The fifth-year option values for players selected in the first round of the 2022 NFL draft have been revealed, with Detroit Lions edge-rusher Aidan Hutchinson and New York Jets cornerback Sauce Gardner set to be two of the highest-paid players once their options get picked up.

One that really stood out is a player who was recently projected to Detroit at No. 28 overall: Boston College EDGE Donovan Ezeiruaku. The 6-foot-2, 248-pound Ezeiruaku is smaller than what the Lions have looked for in an EDGE to play opposite Aidan Hutchinson.
