Parents of children with special needs across Georgia are expressing deep concern and confusion after President Donald Trump signed what he called the “One Big Beautiful Bill” into law last week.

Minnesota state officials warned the bill would cut $500 million a year in reimbursements for hospital and nursing home coverage.

The “Big Beautiful Bill," as Trump has called it, includes a $1 trillion reduction in spending over the next decade for Medicaid, the government insurance program for low-income Americans. Trump signed the bill on July 4.
