The Apple Watch app will arrive alongside Tesla's holiday update next week and will be installed automatically on the watch when the companion mobile app is updated. Tesla has not said whether owners of Wear OS smartwatches might get a similar app down the road.

The native Apple Watch experience lets you view the charge status, pop the frunk, and remotely warm up your car. Third-party smartwatch apps such as “Watch for Tesla” added this functionality in the absence of a first-party solution, but now Tesla has Sherlocked them all.

Now, Tesla drivers are getting a cool free upgrade – and it's all thank to the Apple Watch. That's because the brand is unveiling a dedicated Apple Watch app, which could be here as soon as next week.
