Pirates acquire first baseman Horwitz in trade with Guardians
Spencer Horwitz is on the move again. Traded to the Guardians from the Blue Jays as part of a deal for second baseman Andrés Giménez on Tuesday, the first baseman was flipped to the Pirates later that evening in exchange for three players.

The 26-year-old Giménez batted .252 with nine homers, 63 RBIs and 30 steals last season. He was acquired by the Guardians as part of the Francisco Lindor blockbuster trade with the New York Mets in January 2021.
