Missouri State football won back-to-back FBS games for the first time in program history following the Bears' overtime win over New Mexico State.

For the first time this season, New Mexico State football suffered a loss at Aggie Memorial Stadium. The Aggies were handed a 24-17 loss in overtime by FBS and Conference USA newcomer Missouri State on Wednesday night.

That was nearly negated when the Aggies’ defense let MSU into field goal range, but Bears kicker Yousef Obeid missed a 50-yard field goal wide right to force overtime. That gave NM State hope before it was brutally dashed in a 24-17 overtime loss.

New Mexico State fell 30-27 to Liberty on Tuesday, Oct. 14. Fife led New Mexico State with 242 yards on 20-of-37 passing (54.1%) for two touchdowns and no interceptions. Calloway had 84 rushing yards on 18 carries and one touchdown, adding one reception for one yard. Tyler King recorded 68 yards on five catches.
