The PGA Tour will soon be making "significant changes" to how it looks and operates, according to new CEO Brian Rolapp. Golf legend Tiger Woods will also play a significant role in directing those changes.

The PGA Tour announced Wednesday the formation of the Future Competition Committee, which is intended to find "the optimal competitive model that enhances the PGA TOUR's value to fans, players and partners.

Tiger Woods has been appointed to chair a new committee as the PGA Tour pushes back against the rise of LIV Golf.

The LIV Golf League, which began in 2021, has continued to grow in popularity, with the 2025 season officially concluding on Sunday. The league’s year-end rules differ significantly from the PGA Tour.

DeChambeau, mired in some controversy since joining the Saudi-backed LIV Golf, was left off the 2023 Ryder Cup team and the 2024 Olympic team, despite being one of the U.S.’s best performing players. Esentially, he didn’t have enough points since LIV Golf events aren’t recognized.
