Meet the Hisense 116UX TriChroma Mini-LED TV. It's innovative, it's unexpected, and it's 116 inches big. To best understand what makes it so compelling, it's worth starting with the technology itself.

For some people, there’s at least more of a chance of actually owning the also-new 116-inch TriChroma LED TV. That’s because, at its core, this is still a Mini LED set. But Hisense has developed a new local dimming system that it calls “RGB Local Dimming Technology.” The key benefit here seems to be color vibrance:

The major technology show that is CES 2025 has presented lots of exciting new TVs: from the LG OLED G5, to the Samsung S95F, Samsung The Frame Pro, and Panasonic Z95B. But none of those have quite managed to pull off what Hisense has achieved with its latest Mini-LED offering.

Along with TCL, Hisense has wised up about its deployment of HDMI 2.1 in recent years. Not too long ago, these brands' best TVs only offered a pair of gaming-optimized, high-bandwidth HDMI 2.1 inputs, and one of them doubled as an eARC port.
