George Russell said he was driving better than ever and ready to fight for a Formula One championship with Mercedes after taking the team's first win of the season in Canada, but this year still looks a long shot.

The Canada Grand Prix, the 10th race of the season in the Formula 1 was won by George Russell, the Great Britain driver of the Mercedes team. The race, held at the 4.3-kilometer Gilles-Villeneuve Circuit in the city of Montreal, was held over 70 laps.
