It didn't take long after Epic Games unleashed famous Star Wars Sith lord Darth Vader into the game Fortnite -- complete with the AI-enabled voice of late actor James Earl Jones for conversations with players -- for Vader to drop the F-bomb.

On Friday, developer Epic Games announced in a blog post that Darth Vader is back in Fortnite as a recruitable boss character in the game's primary Battle Royale mode. He can be recruited to fight alongside you and your friends,

Fortnite is a digital playground for millions of players, many of them young. That people would immediately try to get the Disney-owned Darth Vader to say something offensive is unsurprising. But the speed at which players were able to do so suggests that generative AI still isn’t fully ready to be unleashed on a major game platform.
