With the Gaudreau family watching from the stands, Rasmus Andersson, Kevin Bahl and Yegor Sharangovich scored goals as the Calgary Flames shut out the Columbus Blue Jackets, 3-0, in a game between the two franchises the late Johnny Gaudreau played for.

Ahead of their second matchup of the 2024–25 NHL season (their first in Calgary), the Calgary Flames and the Columbus Blue Jackets put together an emotional pre-game ceremony to honor their late former teammate Johnny Gaudreau, who tragically died in August.

Dan Vladar made 16 saves for his second shutout of the season and fourth in the NHL, and Mikael Backlund had two assists for the Flames (13-9-4), who ended a four-game losing streak with their sixth straight home win.
