The Cincinnati Reds and Atlanta Braves completed their pre-game ceremonies but then entered a rain delay at Bristol Motor Speedway. The game will not start at its originally-scheduled first-pitch time of 7:15 p.m.

The famed racetrack has been converted to host baseball for the showcase. Over 85,000 fans were expected on hand for the first-of-its-kind event. MLB's previous attendance record was 84,587 fans at a 1954 game in Cleveland featuring the New York Yankees.

The Atlanta Braves took home the MLB Speedway Classic trophy on Sunday after defeating the Cincinnati Reds, 4-2. The game resumed Sunday afternoon following a series of delays and an overnight postponement due to rain Saturday night.
