Arkansas basketball freshman Boogie Fland saved the day, scoring the final seven points in a comeback win over Miami.

Arkansas’ Boogie Fland made two free throws with 2:25 left to tie the game (71-71) and later drained a 3-pointer with 1:47 left to give the Razorbacks their first lead. After a Miami basket, Fland sealed the win with a jumper with 54 seconds left for a 76-73 win at Miami in the SEC/ACC Challenge.

Miami led for 36 minutes and wound up losing a 76-73 heartbreaker against visiting Arkansas in the SEC/ACC Challenge. “There are no moral victories; we all compete very, very hard to win, but there are a lot of things I am happy about,” said UM coach Jim Larranaga.

Fland, the 5-star freshman from New York, was the difference. He scored a team-high 18 points — including Arkansas’ final 7 — to go with 6 assists and 5 rebounds in the comeback win. The Razorbacks led for just 1:47 and it largely came down to Fland’s playmaking abilities, both for himself and others.
