Setting NFL records is cool - but winning is much cooler in the eyes of Arizona Cardinals QB Jacoby Brissett. In the process of being routed by the San Francisco 49ers in Week 11, Brissett set an NFL record with 47 pass completions today. Brissett, when speaking with reporters after the loss, says he couldn't care less.

The Arizona Cardinals quarterback, who is filling in for the injured Kyler Murray, completed 47 of his 57 pass attempts, setting a new record for completions in a single game. Drew Bledsoe had 45 completions in 1994, and Jared Goff had the same mark in 2019.

Arizona didn't prevail in Week 11, but their veteran quarterback still managed to turn in a historic outing against San Francisco.

With the activation of linebacker BJ Ojulari from PUP Saturday and the addition of linebacker Mack Wilson Sr. to IR, the Cardinals now have 13 players placed on IR since the cut to 53, three on IR prior to the cut to 53 and one, cornerback Sean Murphy-Bunting, on reserve/non-football injury, also done prior to the reduction to 53.

Brissett completed 47 passes in Arizona's 41-22 loss to the San Francisco 49ers at State Farm Stadium to etch his name in the NFL record books for most completions in a regular-season game. He produced a career-high 452 passing yards in the process.
