Rain is returning this week to the Bay Area – and forecasters are expecting a “potentially major storm system."

Following a mostly dry January in the Bay Area, as a wet weather pattern returns to the region beginning on the final day of the month.

Rain is back in the Bay Area on Friday after three and a half weeks of dry weather, which has been one of the driest January's on record. Anticipate the stormy weather sticking around through the weekend and into much of next week.
