Maple Leafs coach Craig Berube said after Pacioretty missed practice on Monday morning that the 17-year veteran won't play and his status for returning is day-to-day.
Pacioretty will be absent due to an upper-body injury that he sustained after taking a shot to the side of the head in Saturday's 7-3 comeback win against the Montreal Canadiens. He was however able to finish the game, logging 10:13 in ice time.
The Lightning could use another forward and should consider targeting this player from the Maple Leafs because of it.
