SEATTLE — Mats Zuccarello had a goal and an assist, and the Minnesota Wild held on for a 4-3 win against the Seattle Kraken at Climate Pledge Arena on Tuesday. “It was a great 30 minutes and then a bad 30 minutes,” Zuccarello said. “We got the two points. ... First half was ours, second half was theirs, and we still found a way to win.”
High-scoring winger Mats Zuccarello has a nose for the net. Since Kirill Kaprizov's debut, the pair are one-two on the Wild in team scoring.
Bad news for the Minnesota Wild got worse over the weekend when Bill Guerin announced Kirill Kaprizov would miss more time than initially expected. Kaprizov is still leading the Wild with 52 points and was having a Hart Trophy-level campaign before injuries derailed his season.
We had a great 30 minutes and a bad 30 minutes, and then fortunately we get the two points,” said Mats Zuccarello.
Earlier in the year and prior we’ve been great in limiting their chances, the opposite team good chances, and now it feels like we just open it up and just give them ice and time and stuff
Shane Wright scored on the power play and Kaapo Kakko added a pair of assists for the Seattle Kraken, but they couldn't dig out of a three-goal deficit in a 4-3 loss to the Minnesota Wild on Tuesday night.
