It has been a scorching start to 2025 for Felix Auger-Aliassime. The Canadian leads the ATP Tour in wins (16) and titles (2), and after today’s victory over Quentin Halys in Dubai he's the only player to reach three finals on the ATP Tour in 2025. Up to 21 in the rankings, the former World No.6 says he hopes to keep rising, maybe high enough to return to the Top-10 and play the ATP Finals at the end of the season. “I'm trying to as much as I can,” he said. “But you have to go day by day, week by week. I can't jump that quick. I've been winning a lot already this year. You don't win every week, every single week. Maybe Sinner last year, but even him. “Gradually I hope that this year, by the end of this year, I'm closing in on the top 10, hopefully even Turin. That would be a great year.” The 24-year-old will bid for the title on Saturday against Stefanos Tsitsipas in Dubai. He says that stepping out to a 16-4 record and notching so many impressive wins is working wonders for his confidence. That confidence, he says, is what he needs to reach his ultimate goal. “I feel like when you start being consistent in other tournaments, dominating players in other tournaments, you come to the Grand Slam with a different belief,” he said. “I come to every Grand Slam feeling like I want to win, believing I can win. But it's different when you've been winning a lot on the ATP Tour. That's the kind of momentum I'm trying to build and the kind of belief. If I do that, then hopefully in the years to come I'll get my opportunity to lift one of those big trophies.” Auger-Aliassime has one Grand Slam semifinal to his name. He reached the last four at the US Open in 2021. He is 34-23 lifetime at the majors, with another quarterfinal, coming at the 2022 Australian Open.
Felix Auger-Aliassime is in the midst of a deep Dubai run and that's only the beginning since the world No. 21 aims to return inside the top-10 and also clinch an ATP Finals spot. After winning Adelaide and Montpellier in the first month of 2025,
