A court in Argentina has dropped charges of criminal negligence against three of the five people indicted in connection with the death of Liam Payne, the former One Direction singer who fell from a third-floor hotel balcony in Buenos Aires last October.
Three appeals court judges in Buenos Aires ruled Wednesday that Liam Payne's friend Rogelio Nores will no longer be criminally charged in the One Direction star's death.
BUENOS AIRES, Argentina -- Charges have been dropped against three people arrested in connection with the death of former One Direction singer Liam Payne. Payne's close friend Roger Nores is among those cleared. "I know for a fact like there's no way any charge was going to hold. So, I was totally, totally expecting this," Nores said.
The manslaughter charges filed against a friend of One Direction singer Liam Payne and two hotel employees have been dropped. Roger Nores and the two employees had been charged in connection to the death of the singer, who plunged from a balcony at a Buenos Aires, Argentina hotel in October.
