Connor Ingram made 23 saves and Olli Maatta scored his first goal for the Utah Hockey Club in a 5-2 victory over Winnipeg Jets.

Barrett Hayton had a goal and two assists in the Utah Hockey Club's 5-2 win over the visiting Winnipeg Jets on Monday in Salt Lake City. Clayton Keller had a goal and an assist, while Josh Doan and Nick Schmaltz each had two assists for Utah.

After receiving an inadvertent puck to the face from teammate Michael Kesselring, Clayton Keller immediately went to the locker room. When he checked back in at 4:40 in the second period, Utah's offense would come to life and score four goals in a row on route to its 5-2 victory.

Schmaltz scored a goal on three shots, added two PIM and went plus-2 in Saturday's 4-2 win over the Blues.

SALT LAKE CITY -- Barrett Hayton scored and had two assists, and the Utah Hockey Club defeated the Winnipeg Jets 5-2 at Delta Center on Monday.

Schmaltz notched a power-play assist, five shots on goal and a minus-2 rating in Thursday's 5-3 loss to the Rangers. Schmaltz has two goals and three assists during his four-game point streak. The 28-year-old earned the secondary helper on Logan Cooley's tally in Thursday's loss.

The Jets, who lead the Central Division by five points and sit second in the NHL rankings, came into Delta Center winning three of their last four games. Utah did not let the numbers get in its head and put forth a high-paced, even-keeled effort which earned it two more points in the Western Conference playoff race.

The Winnipeg Jets, the top team in the NHL at the time, took down the Utah Hockey Club 3-0 on Nov. 5 at Canada Life Centre. Reigning Vezina Trophy winner Connor Hellebuyck recorded his 39th career shutout with 21 saves against Utah, and Nino Niederreiter scored two goals for Winnipeg in his 900th NHL game.

In Game 6 of the 2003 Stanley Cup Final, Mighty Ducks of Anaheim and captain Paul Kariya received a soul-crushing hit from New Jersey Devils captain Scott Stevens. Despite the crowd wondering if he’d ever play hockey again, Kariya returned before the end of the period — and scored to make it 4-1 in his team’s favor.
