Ryan Day, Ohio State's head coach, and Chip Kelly, the team's offensive coordinator, are both from New Hampshire. Both got their start as players at the University of New Hampshire. The team is looking to secure its first CFP Championship win since the game's inaugural run in 2015.

The Ohio State football team arrived in Atlanta on Friday, and it didn’t take long for us to hear from head coach Ryan Day and some of the team. Not only did Day provide some comments directly off the plane on the tarmac — which seems like an odd place to hold a press conference — but he came back on Saturday with some media availability as well.

It has been a sprint for New Hampshire native Ryan Day. Those who knew him before he became the Ohio State Buckeyes’ head football coach say it was always a matter of when, not if, he’d score it big.
