With Mekhi Becton's future in Philadelphia uncertain, the Eagles might need to find a new right guard. Could a familiar face be the perfect fit?
After the Philadelphia Eagles defeated the Kansas City Chiefs in Super Bowl LIX and the green and white confetti had rained down on the field, offensive lineman Mekhi Becton took a seat on the Superdome turf in New Orleans and began to cry.
At one point in his NFL career, there was a thought that Mekhi Becton would never be able to match the expectations put on him during his rookie season as a first-round pick, but that he may not play another down in the NFL again.
To fix the issue swiftly, the franchise should look to free agency to make up for the loss of Martin. One candidate the Cowboys should target is former Philadelphia Eagles guard Mekhi Becton. Becton is coming off of a Super Bowl victory with the Eagles, starting 15 games for the team this past season.
While the Eagles should make some moves in free agency to solidify their core, they should avoid giving long-term money to these players.
