Elon Musk’s offer to bring home stranded astronauts never reached the space station, say NASA astronauts who are still in orbit after 9 months
Stranded astronaut says he believes Musk’s claims that Biden refused to conduct rescue mission
Barry "Butch" Wilmore said he trusts Elon Musk, who previously told Fox News’ Sean Hannity that former President Joe Biden left the astronauts in space for “political reasons."
President Donald Trump said that he asked "a favor" of Elon Musk to retrieve astronauts on the ISS. The plan to bring them back has been in place since September.
The NASA astronauts are now scheduled to return from the International Space Station in late March aboard a Dragon capsule, nearly nine months after they blasted off.
Butch Wilmore and Sunita Williams have been stuck in space after their originally scheduled eight-day mission ended up with a malfunction during takeoff.
Williams emphasised the valuable science still being conducted on the station, saying, "It's not the right time" to shut it down.
