Dana White, president and CEO of UFC, is joining the board of Meta, one of three new directors announced today by Mark Zuckerberg’s social media giant.

UFC president Dana White has landed a surprising new role outside the octagon. In an unsuspecting move, Meta Platforms Inc., the parent company of Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp, will be adding a new board of directors member. That member is none other than White, marking a significant shift from his established career in mixed martial arts.

White had a private jet waiting during his post-fight press conference at UFC 311. The 55-year-old rushed through his media scrum before hopping on a flight to the capital. Nelk Boy Kyle Forgeard confirmed their safe arrival with an Instagram post that White shared to his story.
