For the first time, a team of Minnesota cybersecurity experts with military chops was deployed in response to a state cybersecurity breach.

In response to a cyberattack, Minnesota Governor Tim Walz issued an emergency executive order bringing National Guard soldiers to active duty.

The Minnesota National Guard’s cyber forces will collaborate with city, state, and federal officials to resolve the situation," Walz said.
