Social Security recipients who get Supplemental Security Income benefits are on a normal schedule for July. SSA could withhold money due to overpayment

Social Security and SSI payments are going out on time this July, following the usual schedule set by the Social Security Administration (SSA). But some people may get smaller checks if they were overpaid and haven’t started paying the money back.

If someone missed any of those payments, they had until April 2025 to claim them through the Recovery Rebate Credit. That deadline has now passed.
