Rory McIlroy was fully invested in his friend Shane Lowry's performance during the final round of the Truist Championship on Sunday. The Northern Irishman saw his own title defence fall short, finishing six shots behind winner Sepp Straka after carding a round of 68.

Straka's final round 68 was enough to get the win by two at 16 under, as Lowry stumbled back to an even par 70 on Sunday to tie Justin Thomas for second at 14 under.

After Lowry missed the green with his tee shot at the 212-yard, par-3 16th, Straka hit to approximately 30 feet.
