The Mumbai Ranji Trophy team will continue to be led by the seasoned Ajinkya Rahane, the Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) said while announcing the team on Monday. Mumbai is currently third in Group A and desperately needs the win to get closer to a knockout berth.

Along with Rohit, Yashasvi Jaiswal will also be available for the crucial game against Jammu and Kashmir. Rohit even attended the match simulation ahead of the Ranji Trophy 2024-25 un-pause and faced pacers alongside his colleague Ajinkya Rahane.

Rohit Sharma has joined Mumbai's squad for their training sessions in the lead up to the second half of the Ranji Trophy season. The team is currently having a training camp at the Wankhede Stadium and and Rohit has linked up with them after consultation with head coach Omkar Salvi.
