Brush fire burns near Fashion Valley Mall; evacuation orders lifted
A brush fire was reported in Mission Valley near Fashion Valley Mall amid a red flag warning. The fire was reported at around noon on the 7000 block of Friars Road. San Diego Fire said they have 49 personnel fighting the fire.
UPDATE: Crews stop forward progress of brush fire on Friars Road in Mission Valley
As of 3:45 p.m., all evacuation orders connected to the fire were lifted. The San Diego Police Department told an ABC 10News producer on the scene around 1:30 p.m. that crews stopped the fire's forward progress at three acres.
