The Boston Red Sox's game against the Toronto Blue Jays on Wednesday was one big party through five innings, but it quickly turned into a nightmare. After taking a 6-0 lead into the bottom of the sixth inning in Lucas Giolito's first start in Major League Baseball since October of 2023,

Lucas Giolito and the Red Sox were cruising, up 6-0 with two outs in the bottom of the sixth inning and nobody on base. That’s when things began to take a turn.

The 30-year-old had a solid outing in his first appearance since October 1 of 2023 when he was a member of the Cleveland Guardians. Giolito went six innings with three runs allowed (all earned) on five hits, two walks, seven strikeouts, but he did allow two home runs.
