"It's a very active time without question," Louisville coach Jeff Brohm said on a Zoom call to discuss the Sun Bowl. "You're trying to maintain your roster, trying to deal with the open portal situation and make some additions based on subtractions that are already happening through graduation and guys moving on. It makes it busy.

Louisville will play Washington in the 91st Tony the Tiger Sun Bowl, marking significant appearances for both teams.

Fisch could be disappointed at Washington, and perhaps internally he is, but on the outside, he's made it clear that he absolutely sees value for his team in playing in the Sun Bowl — or any non-CFP bowl game for that matter.

For Louisville, while they won't be going all the way back out to the West Coast like they did with the Holiday Bowl last season in their first year under head coach Jeff Brohm, they will be heading back out west this time around.
