Microsoft’s Copilot generative AI is popping up in Windows, Edge, Office apps, and Bing. But just what exactly is it? Here’s everything you need to know.

Microsoft has announced Microsoft Dragon Copilot, an AI system for healthcare that can, among other things, listen to and create notes based on clinical visits. The system combines voice-dictating and ambient listening tech created by AI voice company Nuance, which Microsoft bought in 2021.

Microsoft obviously didn’t like its AI assistant supporting piracy, and Neowin recently wrote that the company has updated Copilot to no longer be as helpful when it comes to activating pirated software.

Despite this trend, Microsoft recently launched Copilot for Mac, for some reason. While Windows users are looking to remove Microsoft's AI tool from their machines, Mac users are invited to actively install it on theirs.

The app is designed to use the device's Neural Processing Unit (NPU) to complete tasks and respond to queries.
