England will have to overcome an inspired Mexico and an incredibly partisan home crowd when they step into a red-hot Azteca Stadium looking to secure a place in the World Cup last eight. The eagerly anticipated knockout tie will start at 8pm ET as planned after FIFA briefly considered — and then abandoned — plans to bring the game forward.
The 2026 World Cup game between England and Mexico kicks off at 9 p.m. ET on Sunday, July 5. FOX will be broadcasting the England vs. Mexico World Cup game in English. A Spanish-language broadcast of the game will air on Telemundo and stream on Peacock.
The winner advances to face Norway, who upset Brazil in an earlier match on Sunday.
The United States will have star striker Folarin Balogun available after all for Monday’s FIFA Men's World Cup matchup with Belgium.
